Target is proposing to ground lease the 15 property located at 6100 Hollister Avenue for a Target store and retail center. The property, bounded by Hollister Avenue to the south, Francis Botello Road to the north, Frederic Lopez Road to the east and David Love Place to the west, is owned by the City of Santa Barbara and is part of the City of Santa Barbara Airport Specific Plan area. All uses in this area must either be airport specific uses or generate revenue to support airport operations. The SB Airport Specific Area Plan area is surrounded on three sides by the City of Goleta and to the south, the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara County called Isla Vista and UCSB.
